Erie, PA – The Erie Downtown Partnership (EDP) will join Statik Garments co-owners Adison Pirrello and Katie Kirk on Friday, May 8 at 6:00 PM for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand reopening of their store at 431 State Street. Statik Garments is Erie's only curated casual vintage and upcycled streetwear shop, offering pieces that are hard to find locally."
The store on the corner of 5th and State Streets had been renovated by prior tenant Erie Apparel; Pirrello and Kirk put their own stamp on the interior, painting and expressing their business through their décor. The owners funded the reopening out of pocket, with most of their investment going toward new inventory and building out the store's look and feel.
“Downtown Erie has always been a cool place for the arts, fashion, shopping, etc.,” said Pirrello and Kirk. “With the recent push of redevelopment and local businesses finding new homes here, we see the potential of the downtown area and are more than happy to help push that progress… We’re excited to finally reopen and start providing the city with quality vintage clothing! We are also excited for the future of our business and of downtown Erie.”
“The creation of retail density in the commercial core is gaining traction with the addition of Statik. They have a great following and their commitment to remaining downtown as their business grows is another success story,” said Emily Fetcko, CEO of the EDP. “I think part of what makes this possible is programs and property owners like the EDDC who work with their tenants and their needs to cultivate a successful and supportive environment, so they can contribute to the district’s economic growth.”
Hours of operation and additional details about Statik Garments will be available on their Instagram page @statikgarments
