In this 3 week course, students will explore the process of drypoint etching and hand printing. They will learn how to transfer an image onto a plexiglass plate, which is then inked, wiped, and printed onto damp paper. Hand printing offers an accessible method for creating prints at home. By the end of the class, students will understand how to transform a single, original drawing into a reproducible image. This class will meet on Wednesdays starting June 11th through June 25th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
Materials are included.
This class is operating on a sliding scale. You may purchase the class at a rate you feel financially comfortable with, up to the maximum class cost of $85. All students will receive the same instruction regardless of payment.
