EDID Hires New CEO/President
ERIE DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WELCOMES NEW HIRE FOR CEO/PRESIDENT POSITION; BRENDA SANDBERG, AICP
Erie, PA- The Erie Downtown Improvement District is pleased to announce that Brenda Sandberg, AICP, former Zoning Officer/Assistant Manager of Code Enforcement for the City of Erie, will join the EDID as the new President/CEO of the organization.
“The EDID implemented a statewide and regional search for the right candidate and we were fortunate enough to have found the right applicant right here in our own community, Brenda Sandberg is the ideal person for the job,” said Boo Hagerty, Chairman of the DID Board of Directors. “Her background in urban and municipal planning will be an asset to the organization and help us to make our new strategic goals and visions a reality.”
Brenda’s career has been spent working with all levels of Government and most recently she served as the Zoning Officer for the City of Erie. Brenda’s educational background extends on her experience and accomplishments; she has continued her interest in Geography/Urban and Regional Analysis by becoming a member of the American and Pennsylvania Planning Associations for 13 years as well as being a Certified Planner by the American Institute of Certified Planners for the past 7 years.
“I am excited to build upon the strong base that has been created by the EDID over the past 3 ½ years. By bringing our members together we can address those issues and concerns that individually, they may not have the resources to implement” said Brenda Sandberg. “I look forward to continuing the relationships that I have built with the City of Erie, Erie Redevelopment Authority and the members of this organization as President/CEO of the EDID.”
