The Erie Downtown Partnership ends their Summer Event Season with a Bike Night this Friday on September 2nd, 2016. The event takes place from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM along State Street between 4th and 14th Streets.
Bike Night has been a tradition in downtown Erie for 12 years bringing motorcycle enthusiasts from across the region to celebrate summer in downtown Erie. This year’s Bike Night series introduced a Poker Run theme benefitting veterans’ organizations in May, and first responder organizations this Friday.
John Buchna, CEO of the Erie Downtown Partnership, says, “Erie is an incredibly generous community and we hope to be able to help out our first responder groups as we honor them for the work they do throughout our community. With the 15th anniversary of 911 we are especially appreciative to have the Erie 911 Memorial as one of the benefitting organizations. They will also have a display in Perry Square near the stage.”
Other participating first responder organizations include the Albion Volunteer Fire Department and EmergyCare.
Poker Run Score Cards are available for a $15 donation at the following downtown establishments the day of the event: 814 Pub and Grille, Calamari’s, Bourbon Barrel, Plymouth Tavern, Docksiders, McCoy’s Barrelhouse & Grill, Sherlock’s Park Place, Molly Brannigan’s, and 408 Bar and Grill.
Buchna went on to say, “You don’t have to ride a motorcycle to join in the fun. This takes place on the Friday night of Labor Day weekend so we encourage folks to come downtown to enjoy themselves and participate in an event to help support our local first responders.”
This event is sponsored by Labatt Blue, Off-Road Express and Indian Motorcycles of Erie.
The Erie Downtown Partnership is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of downtown Erie by improving its image, business climate, physical environment and design.
