The Erie Downtown Partnership (EDP) will provide an update on current programs and initiatives at its Annual Spring Membership Meeting beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13th, upstairs in the Harlequin Ballroom at the Sheraton Bayfront Hotel along the waterfront in downtown Erie.
“We’re delighted with the positive changes happening in downtown Erie,” said David Katovich, President of the EDP Board of Directors. “Our plans for the future are to increase collaboration with others as we all work to help downtown businesses grow and thrive. Spring and summer in downtown Erie offer events and opportunities for everyone to enjoy in our district,” he added.
“Our Annual Spring Meeting is especially exciting this year because of the opportunities for economic growth and revitalization we’ve been able to help create in the downtown district,” said John Buchna, Chief Executive Officer of the EDP. “Our members and the community need to know about the successes and challenges involved in our work to help revitalize downtown Erie.” He added, “Our new website has been crucial to our marketing efforts to boost awareness of all the great entertainment, cuisine, activities, and business opportunities offered in downtown Erie. EDP’s new Downtown Master Recommendation Strategy is taking shape through public interaction to help lead continued development and further benefit our community in the coming years.” Buchna also plans to discuss EDP’s new Security Camera Grant Program and many other updates.
