To our members,
It is hard to believe that I’m writing about planning for the Holiday Season, but it is quickly approaching! The long weekend after Thanksgiving is the busiest shopping period of the year. We want to help make those days as beneficial as possible for our members!
The Erie Downtown Partnership is committed to promoting the Downtown District and encouraging people to patronize our retail stores, restaurants and attractions. You may be familiar with the national Small Business Saturday campaign that promotes shopping at small, local, brick and mortar businesses the Saturday after Black Friday. It only makes sense for us to spearhead a campaign to help drive traffic into Downtown Erie on Small Business Saturday and help promote our businesses.
If you currently accept Erie Downtown Gift Certificates, you can expect a Small Business Saturday Activation Kit to be delivered to you over the next few weeks. Your kit will include give-a-ways, a Shop Local Window Poster, and more!!! If you haven’t enrolled in our gift certificate program yet, it’s easy to sign up. You can find the enrollment paperwork at www.eriedowntown.com.
Continue to keep us updated with your plans for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, so that we can help to promote our Downtown Shopping District. And as you promote your business through social media, don’t forget to use our hastags: #shopsmall, #enjoyerie, #eriedowntown.
We received great media coverage during last year’s campaign and expect the same this year. If you would like to be included as a potential interview location on November 29th please reach out to Christina Katen at email@example.com or (814)455-3743.
