The Erie Downtown Partnership (EDP) will help the community ‘rev up summer’ by hosting its first Bike Night in downtown Erie beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 23rd, 2014.
“The Erie Downtown Partnership is pleased to provide the first downtown Bike Night of the summer. This event serves as the official “kick off” to summer in downtown Erie and we’re excited to host this event as it’s time to get outside and come downtown” said John Buchna, CEO of the Erie Downtown Partnership. “Our events are meant to bring people downtown to eat, shop, dine, relax and enjoy. Our Bike Night event allows folks to ride downtown with others, listen to live music and talk with fellow riders as a start to their holiday weekend” added Buchna.
“You don’t have to ride a motorcycle to enjoy a downtown Erie” commented Buchna. “There’s so much to do in downtown Erie this weekend. The Erie Seawolves have a game beginning at 7:00 PM and the Erie Art Museum plays host to ‘Gallery Night’ and ‘ARTafterDARk’ tonight. The Russian Orthodox Church is hosting their annual Troika Festival and the Great Lakes Beach Glass and Coastal Art Festival will be going on at the Bayfront Convention Center starting tomorrow” said Buchna.
Bike Night runs on State Street from 4th to 12th Streets from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. No on-street car parking is permitted during this time.
